Well Kept And Fun To Play, You Will Enjoy Your Round At Cedar Springs Golf Course

The
webmasters view to Cedar Springs golf course from the blue tees. (12 hdcp)
Hole #1 - Just like the snake in the tree denotes, a
tough uphill opening shot with a small green that usually leaves me
chipping my second shot. Any ball on the green is a nice shot
here. Not the easiest hole on the course in my view.
Hole #2 - Bucky Badger guards the tee and plenty of trees guard the
fairway, don't play the "woodwinds" here and it gives you a
chance for birdie with a downhill shot to a green that slopes slightly
towards you.
Hole #3 - "Smiley" greets you as does a tough tee shot that
needs to avoid the two trees that adorn the fairway, and be long enough to
clear the V-TREE that guards the corner. It's a bear of a hole when
the prevailing winds are in your face. The mounded green slopes
towards you but requires an accurate shot.
Hole #4 - Looks pretty simple until you need to clear the trees, creek and
pond that protect the green. A good drive means wedge to the green
and maybe a "bird". |
Hole #5 - At 330
yards accuracy, not length off the tee is most important to setting up the
second shot. The forest awaits you down the left side of this hole
with the long narrow green protected by trees on three sides.
Anything right of the fairway off the tee will find trees to content
with. Long left on your second shot means bye-bye birdie.
Hole #6 - Pretty straight but at 189 yards, not an easy par three.
This hole has a nice size green that slopes towards the golfer and has a
sand trap protecting the front left. Too far left and you've found
the woods. A nod to the "tee eagle" may help produce an
ace.
Hole #7 - Stick the tee in the ground
and "LET IT GO", wide open spaces await you. There's some
undulation to the ground that may affect your second shot but
anything towards the green will suffice. OK, time to settle down and
hit a small green protected by water on the left and trees and marsh
beyond and right.
Hole #8 - Pretty straight forward with BIG hitters taking a shot at the
green just 303 yards away. An uphill shot to an elevated green with
a lofted club should make for a birdie putt but short shots will tumble
back towards you for another try. To ME, the easiest hole on the
course with an average drive leaving a second shot of under a hundred
yards.
Hole #9 - A dogleg left from the blue tees, making sure to find the
fairway is the most important key to finishing with a good score. At
399 yards it's the longest par 4 on the course with large trees on the
left side of the "corner" protecting the best position on the
fairway. Bail out right and you've got a LONG shot in to the green,
which again slopes towards the golfer to accept well struck shots.
That's it! Tee it up again from the white tees for a bit shorter
round, or go again from the blues and enjoy this beautiful property and
golf course. The electric carts are nice, quiet and
comfortable. The greens are not huge, but are in nice shape and make
accuracy with your lofted clubs very important. Nice golf course, an
enjoyable round every time. |
